UTRECHT SKATE PARADE | Skating through the Dutch city
Every Friday evening, from the beginning of May to the end of September, the Utrecht Skate Parade foundation organizes a free skating tour through and around Utrecht, a beautiful city in the Netherlands, famous for its medieval old town and the ancient university.
The Skate Parade is intended for all those who love to skate in a large group, accompanied by the music of the best DJs. Each tour is different from the previous one and goes through the most beautiful corners of Utrecht.
Being supported by the municipality and the police, the skating takes place on public roads, therefore always on the best asphalt. The tour is about 25 kilometers long and lasts just over 2 hours (departure at 8.00 pm and arrival at 10.15 pm). Halfway there is a break in a nice place, like the Griftpark or the Wilhelminapark, but also outside the city, in other fantastic places.
So if you want to skate in Utrecht, the appointment is at Lucasbolwerk on Friday at 7.45pm for the most popular skating tour in the Netherlands!
Last May 24th, as many as 350 participants took part in the event, on a beautiful spring day, and Fila Skates, one of the event's historic sponsors, was present with demos and the chance for skaters to test the models on the field.
