The Fila Black Ice Inline team
got great results at the last Les Mans 24 hour race. The woman team finished on the excellent 2nd
position in its category. 9 members team with the average speed of 29,5 km/h skated more than
700 km.
With only one exception they defeat not only all the female rivals but also the
mix and male teams. The FILA Black Ice man Team (only 8 members) got in the
strongest category the 12th place, covering a distance of more than 760 Km with an average speed of 31,7 km/h.
It was the 9th edition of the Inline race on Les Mans circuit and we can say that teams from Czech and Slovak Republics are regular members now. More then 6 thousand members from all over the
world created a unique atmosphere. This seasons there were new teams from Finland and Japan. Presence of teams from France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy and more European "inline" countries are obvious. Circuit is a little bit longer than 4 km. The start was at 16:00 on Saturday and the finish was at Sunday at the same time. French TV and newspapers gave regular updates about the race.
Michal Hrazdira, former member of the Czech cycling national team, took part in the men team race. After the race he said: "We are not here for the first time and we believed in the success this year. I have to give my compliments to all the members as they really gave their maximum. The result is even more highlighted by the fact that both the teams were not in the complete line-up as the total number of the members is 10,
and each missing member is requiring even more efforts. It's hard to describe how extremely difficult this race is and I'm really glad that the girls had such success. We all wish them this success will be a big motivation for their sport life. In our region there is so far no chance for similar experiences but this sport has great potential and big perspective. Further I want to thank all the sponsors especially main sponsor FILA as without them this would not be possible".
A Japanese guy was present to the event too. And he skated with our great and famous M100 model.
