Active Steering Technology

The Active Steering Technology is THE innovation of the year. Fila Skates has created a real working steering skate.
Thanks to the revolutionary steering frame, the new Steering line provides in-liners with a choice of exciting new superior performance models. Greater effectiveness of skating action, more comfortable, more manoeuvrable, and with tighter cornering abilities. And all these features are also available with large diameter wheels.

ACTIVE STEERING SKATES: EVOLUTION OF THE SPECIES:

The classic skating action has always been considered to be an unchangeable characteristic of the sport. This is because skate frames had always been designed as a fixed and rigid unit in the past. But the work of our R&D department and the results obtained from tests performed by Fila experts have led to the creation of a completely new style of skate frames that are set to overturn many of the conventional precepts of in-line skating.
The new steerable frame brings a major improvement to the classic skating action.
The power stroke becomes longer and more efficient. This results in a reduction in energy expenditure because the same distance can be covered with fewer strokes.
In addition, the new skates can be equipped with large diameter wheels (up to 90 mm) thereby reaching higher speeds without sacrificing the exceptional manoeuvrability provided by the steerable frame.
Obstacles can be avoided effortlessly and tight bends can be negotiated with ease.
Two are the models of the line: Nighthawk 90, with 90mm wheels, and Nighthawk, with 84mm wheels (both the models are in man and lady version).

Women's Line

The new Lady line consists of a range of models specifically designed for women. From the last to the moulds with an interim stage of careful aesthetic styling, for the first time on the market women can choose from a specific range of lightweight, comfortable and high speed skates that are easy to fasten thanks to the new Q-Fit rapid closure.
The 2 models of the line are Eve Pro, with alu frame, and Eve.

After we invented a demonstrated the power of the 100mm wheels, we have developed the Marathon family (M100 and M90 models). The new Marathon line provides the perfect link between the fitness and racing segments. These skates offer performance levels that allow in-liners to approach the standards of professional athletes, without sacrificing the benefits of superb comfort and durability. The system is based on the CARBON structure connected to a low-cut cuff. The lightweight and highly compact cuff offers the necessary support for in-line marathon athletes to cover long distances in comfort while achieving the maximum performance levels.

The models are M100, unisex, with 100mm wheels, and M90, in man and lady colors, with 90mmwheels.

The Collection

The collection has been divided in 5 segemnts.

Fila 4 Big is the speed and marathon segment where you can find the carbon speed skates, with 100mm wheels (Matrix and F100) and an option with 5x84 (F84), and the models of the new marathon family (M100 and M90).

Steering is the segment of the models equipped with the new Active Steering Technology.
It's the segment of the people which skates for long time and long dinstances as for example during the night events in the big cities.

Women is the segment of the female consumer which is looking for a specific female product. Not only the colors and some padding, but complete and specific female products, from the last to the materials.

Fitness is the segment where the beginners up to the intermediate consumers can find the right product. For each price point we are giving the maximum of the available features. The models are: Helix 60 (with 90mm wheels, alu frame and Q-Fit the Fila speed closure system), Helix 55 (with alu frame and Q-Fit), Helix 50 (with composite frame and Q-Fit) and FF45 (entry price point). All the models have been updated in the design, colors and materials.

Junior, for the joung boys but also for the joung girls. For the first time on the market a color option for the little girls. X-One Plus and X-One G are equipped with the only one extendable and micrometrical mechanism on the market which can be tuned with the feet inside the skates.
