| Ippolito Sanfratello: the dream becomes reality |
 |
Ippo, the FILA Skates man, after having spent many years competing in the speed in-line skates world, after having won a lot of world championships, after having created the most famous and decorated in-line speed team, the FILA Skates Team, had a dream. |
 |
His dream was to participate to the Olympics Games. And, as the roller sports are not yet inside the Olympic world, he decided to try with the speed ice skating.
Now, here in MGM, everybody are so excited and happy realising his dream became reality.
Yesterday evening, the ice speed skating Italian Team won an historical gold medal at the Olympics Games. Ippo has won the most important gold medal of the life of an athlete.
This morning he told us: “I still cannot believe it ….. it’s a dream ….. it’s a so big emotion!!!”.
Obviously he is incredibly happy. And we, which have worked with him for many years, feel part of his happiness and we wish him to get again great results in the next races of the Games (1500 and 10000 meters). |

FILA Active Steering Skate |
|

|
Fila have developed a world first in-line skating - Active Steering Skate. Available in two models, Nighthawk and Nighthawk 90, each skate comes in both a male and female version. The new steering system is designed to give the skates more manoeuvrability, and works by using Fila's patented Active Steering technology. Each skate's frame consists of two chassis attached to a bridge. The two chassis are rigid enough to enable a skater to travel in a straight line without losing any energy while pushing. When body weight is placed on either side they move, thanks to an elastomer, and the skater turns. Although the movement is only relatively slight, it is enough to give the skater a more comfortable feel (thanks to the big wheels) and tighter cornering abilities. Stay tuned on Fila skates and get the best! |

FILA, once again, is going to present to the market a very big innovation. It’s something which is going to revolutionise the skating action giving to the skaters speed, comfort and an unbelievable manoeuvrability. On this new frame you can mount 90mm wheels. With the new technology and the big wheels, you reach more speed, skate in a comfortable way and get the same manoeuvrability of a shorter 78mm frame. Stay tuned on FILA skates and get the best.Check this innovation on the coming summer ISPO. |

The FILA Team invented the 100mm set up. The racers tested the solution 2 year ago and the result was great. So, pioneer on this new way, we developed our speed skates collection around this idea, changing the standard fixation boot/frame to keep the same balance of an 84mm frame. And this is not because we are brave, but because we look for the best solution for the skaters, we test them and we produce them. Now, everybody will have 100mm and 90mm wheels in their collection. It's a great satisfaction for us to be the flag in the skate industry. We are 100% focused on the consumers needs and these results are the best we can expect. Our athletes kept training on the big wheels and they are demonstrating that it works. The FILA team was the only one which started the season with the 100mm set up. All the other teams are now following this solution as the FILA team is winning every things. Stay tuned on FILA skates and get the best. |
