Maria Laura Orrų, one of the best italian skaters, makes a sum up of her
skating season.
Unfortunately, the injury I suffered in May had influenced the all season.
The recovery was longer than forseen so that I was not able to race the italian
championships and the european championships, very important to refine the
shape for the world championships. At the world championships I had therefore
to work for the teammates without having the possibility to win personal
medals. Anyway, with also my work the italian team won more medals compared
with the previous year. The experience in Colombia was excellent. The public
was great and the colombian team demonstrated to be the strongest team
especially in the women category. Very good Korea too which is growing a lot
year after year.

with dedicated colours for both boys and girls.

providing a range of benchmark products for skaters in pursuit of leisure,
fitness, and race competition results at all levels, improving performance
without sacrificing comfort levels. |

Ippo, the FILA Skates man, after having spent many years competing in the speed in-line skates world, after having won a lot of world championships, after having created the most famous and decorated in-line speed team, the FILA Skates Team, had a dream. |

His dream was to participate to the Olympics Games. And, as the roller sports are not yet inside the Olympic world, he decided to try with the speed ice skating.
Now, here in MGM, everybody are so excited and happy realising his dream became reality.
Yesterday evening, the ice speed skating Italian Team won an historical gold medal at the Olympics Games. Ippo has won the most important gold medal of the life of an athlete.
This morning he told us: “I still cannot believe it ….. it’s a dream ….. it’s a so big emotion!!!”.
Obviously he is incredibly happy. And we, which have worked with him for many years, feel part of his happiness and we wish him to get again great results in the next races of the Games (1500 and 10000 meters). |

During the last week end was performed the 2006 Indoor Swiss Championship. Grat success for the FILA Swiss Team which had the following results: Elite Men: 1st , 2nd, 3rd Place
Juniors A Men: 1st Place
Juniors A Women: 1st Place
Juniors B Men: 1st Place
Juniors B Women: 2nd Place And here is the podium of the Elite Men with: Severin Widmer, Nicolas Iten, Adrian Leemann Our congratulation to all of them and good luck for the entire 2006 season.

FILA Skates Speed Team takes vacation |

We, as FILA Skates, were the last brand entering the in-line skate market. Since the first year we always had the Speed Team. Our racers created brand awareness all over the world pulling FILA Skates to be one of the first 3 brands in the markets were they are sold.
The market is living a very difficult period and we are convinced we have to do something direct to the end consumers. Budget is not an unlimited resource and without a big co-sponsor the FILA Skates International Team, after having won every things in the last seasons, takes now some vacation to let space to other initiatives.
We officially thank all our great athletes and the Team manager for their great job and performances and see them again in the future. |

Max Presti (FILA International) is the winner of the 2005 World In-Line Cup. Second in Duluth and 3rd in Berlin, ended the season with 878 points, followed by his teammate Luca Saggiorato (767 points) and Jorge Botero (765 points). This is the 4th overall victory for this incredible racer. Out best congratualation to Max, Luca and all the FILA International Speed Team for this great season and results. |
